That's the refrain often sung by business leaders.
The technical side of change is tangible and predictable.
Leaders typically are comfortable with hard skills such
as planning, scheduling and budgeting. But the people side
of change is often uncomfortable and challenging. Most unsuccessful
initiatives fail because we don't put enough effort into
the human side of change. The good news is that there are
proven techniques and skills available to attend to the
human side of the equation. Champions for Change focuses
on three key entities in the change process - the change
leader or "Champion", the organization undergoing
change and the individuals being asked to change.

Personal Assessment - A Champion
for Change is one who readily accepts and embraces change
and inspires others to make positive change happen. You
will develop a solid understanding and gain personal feedback
on your ability to accept and lead change.
Keys to Successful Organizational Change -
The transitional phases an organization and individuals
encounter on the journey from resistance to acceptance and
support of change are normal and predictable. You will learn
to recognize the key transitional phases and the critical
steps to take to move yourself, the organization and individuals
forward.
Experiencing The Human Dynamics of Change -
To effectively help others through transition, a Champion
must understand and empathize with the range of concerns
and emotions people experience when faced with change. A
highlight of the workshop is an exhilarating outdoor activity
that challenges you to step outside your comfort zone and
accomplish a seemingly impossible task. Our Challenge Course
activity brings to life the challenges people face when
asked to change - and provides a positive model for the
techniques and methods required to help people move forward.
Coaching Others Through Change - Everyone
reacts differently when confronted with change. Some seek
the new and different and move quickly forward, others take
a while longer and a few can't make the transition. You
will learn a one-on-one coaching process to support individuals
in transition.
Making Change Happen - Return on investment
comes when successful change occurs in your organization.
Armed with workshop tools and techniques and the coaching
and support of the faculty and other Champions, you will
create a people transition plan for a major work initiative.
Follow through coaching is available when you return to
the workplace on an as needed basis.
