MBTI QUALIFICATION
We are pleased to announce that Clyde Dildine has recently completed an extensive qualification process to administer the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI). The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® personality assessment tool is a written instrument that helps "indicate" a person's likely psychological type. The MBTI functions as a tool to help people:

  • Understand themselves and their behaviors
  • Understand and value others who think and act quite differently
  • Understand how their personality type influences their leadership and teamwork behavior
  • Appreciate others so as to make constructive use of individual differences

MBTI is a powerful tool that has been used with literally millions of people in a wide variety of applications including conflict resolution, teamwork, improving communications, and leadership development. By adding this world-renowned tool to our "bag of tricks" we believe we can offer our clients a great addition to their business improvement efforts. Congratulations, Clyde.

HOUSTON, WE HAVE A PROBLEM!
If your organization is looking for an engaging way to teach effective consensus decision-making here's an idea. Apollo 13 is a decision-making simulation we've created in association with The Fisher Group, one of America's top authority's on high performance work teams. Here's your mission; your group is the crew systems team from mission control charged with bringing home the Apollo 13 astronauts safely. An explosion in an oxygen tank aboard the spacecraft forces the astronauts to abandon their capsule and retreat to the lunar excursion module (LEM) to maintain life support. Unfortunately, the air filter system is only sufficient for two people, not three. By the time the problem is detected, dangerous carbon dioxide is already building up rapidly in the LEM. Your team has less than an hour to figure out how the astronauts can fix the problem using only the items they have on board the spacecraft. You must decide which are the correct items to use to repair the filter system and assemble it against a tight deadline. At the conclusion of the exercise you learn what NASA actually did, compare your solution to theirs and discuss the process of effective decision-making. Each Apollo 13 kit is packaged in a handy tote and includes a complete leader's guide, reusable items to construct the filter system, background information, scoring sheets and answer keys. The cost for Apollo 13 is $395 and is available directly through: The Fisher Group www.thefishergroup.com
